Born 1996, Sydney, NSW, Australia
HARRY KLEIN is a Sydney based multi-disciplinary artist and musician who works under a performance based practice through a range of mediums including photomedia, video and sound. While currently studying at Sydney College of the Arts, Klein has focused on a practice that studies the amalgamation of the individual and their environment. Through the fusion of imagery and music, Klein creates work that follows a science fiction gothic mythology, to study a post-human contemporary world. The construction of images, the observation of spaces, and use of found imagery form alongside electronic ambience and polyphonic and woodwind sounds. Often influenced by abstract cinema, the paradox of high and lowbrow culture and the banality of contemporary Australia, Klein studies the outcomes of his identity and the landscape of which he lives in.
Klein exhibited his debut Solo Exhibition The Other at Sky Fire Studios, Sydney in 2015. His work is also held in the Wilsons Wilkins Collection as well as private collections.
